Sometimes, when the stars align and the advertising gods smile down upon you, you get the opportunity to do something that truly leans into your sensibilities. In my case, that was a launch campaign for Fugglers, stuffed monsters with teefs and a sense of humour equally as unhinged as mine.

“Annoyingly persistent with ideas, obnoxiously detail-oriented in writing craft, suspiciously good at managing up, down, and clients.
The worst part?
Everybody likes her.”

Brynna Aylward, CCO North America

“More than just a great set of bangs.”

“Partnering with Eva was a constant exercise in awe and confusion. Don’t let her nonsense distract you — she’s one of the smartest and most creative people I’ve ever worked with.”

Never saw
the light of day!

Cheil was my first taste of working on a giant global brand — Samsung was our main client. I learned how to quickly execute against every media placement under the sun, manage tricky timelines, and think big within a pretty small sandbox. My favourite project, though, was for BMO, where we highlighted new ATM features by making parallels with human milestones. These spots absolutely did not make it to air!

Blackjet was primarily a real estate-focused shop, so I got pretty good at crafting absolute nonsense to lure would-be homeowners into a two-bedroom plus den condo where they could live in the heart of the city cocooned in the kind of luxury finishes and unrivalled amenities they deserved. I also wrote a neat little website we designed with a paper craft artist for Alfred, a laundry service.

Webby Award!

After failing to find a job in my field (art history), I accidentally landed in advertising as a receptionist. I wrote elaborately threatening emails from the perspective of a timesheet gremlin (I don’t think we had HR), curated countless charcuterie boards and mopped up a sea of milk in the kitchen, but still, I was bored. So with the help of two kindly copywriters, I Peggy Olson’d my way into a digital copywriting position.

She’s Good At

Jumping on a bit

Hanging art without measuring anything

Making up convincing bs
on the spot

Knowing every
famous person

Tripling the amount
of garlic in a recipe

Feeling sorry
for Van Gogh

Eavesdropping on
the French team on set

Recommending you
a devastating book

She’s Not Good At

Accepting when the bit
has run its course

Spatial awareness

Excel

Throwing a frisbee

Remembering where
I parked my car

Telling men apart

Controlling my eyebrows

Knowing where I am
